Job Summary

Senior-level technical safety engineer for oil & gas facilities, based in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. You will provide ALARP-focused safety expertise, lead hazard management activities, and support HAZID/HAZOP/SIL/LOPA sessions. You’ll work with project teams and external consultants to ensure RoK standards, fire & gas mapping, and quantitative risk assessments are applied across design and operations.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Provide safety engineering advice across the Company to ensure risks to personnel are reduced to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
•Attend and close out HAZID, HAZOP and SIL, LOPA studies and provide specialist expertise to asset/project teams on major accident hazards, QRA, safety critical elements and safety case input.
•Lead members of the project group in executing engineering hazard management and formal safety assessment tasks for field projects and modifications.
•Engage with external consultants/contractors to deliver high-quality safety engineering support across relevant areas.
•Support the LLP Management System and contribute to continuous improvement of safety practices across development and operations.

Key Requirements

•Degree qualification in an engineering discipline is essential.
•Significant experience in production or engineering of oil and gas facilities, including considerable experience in Technical Safety Engineering.
•Knowledge of Hazardous Area Classification, preparation of Hazardous Area Classification Datasheets and Hazardous Area Schedule
•Knowledge of Physical Effects Modeling and Quantitative Risk Assessment
•Knowledge of Fire & Gas Mapping
