Key Responsibilities

  • •Support preventative and corrective maintenance, project work, and reliability strategy development with EES electricians, electrical and instrument technicians, and third-party resources.
  • •Mentor and train electricians and electrical/instrument technicians on equipment functionality, control schemes, and troubleshooting practices.
  • •Facilitate PLC maintenance and support DCS functionality across the plant, including creating/updating control schemes and overseeing software updates with cybersecurity implementation.
  • •Maintain environmental compliance systems including CEMS and COMS and coordinate plant power redistribution during supply failures or related infrastructure maintenance.
  • •Coordinate with electrical engineering on equipment procurement, maintenance strategies, and project management; coordinate with IT on data historian and plant communications maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology (or related technical field) and at least 4 years of related engineering experience; or associate degree and at least 6 years of related engineering experience.
  • •Preferably experience in a coke plant, chemical or petrochemical manufacturing facility, or other heavy industrial setting.
  • •Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (e.g., ControlLogix, SLC 500).
  • •Experience with DeltaV DCS programming and maintenance.
  • •Strong troubleshooting and communication skills for field settings and SOP development.
