Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the mechatronic architecture for the SPM platform family, defining actuation, sensing, and motion-control approach and shaping roadmap build-versus-buy and subsystem partitioning.
  • •Architect and integrate precision robotic hardware systems, including actuators and sensors, meeting micron-level reliability requirements for prosthetics manufacturing.
  • •Set technical standards across the team for design/validation (design reviews, tolerance and error-budget analysis, FMEA, test-and-validation practices).
  • •Lead high-fidelity rapid prototyping with structural/thermal analyses, rigorous performance testing, and failure-mode analysis.
  • •Serve as the primary technical interface across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams to ensure system integration and optimize system dynamics.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of machine-building experience focused on hardware, mechatronics, or robotics engineering with system-level architecture for production systems.

  • •B.S./M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering.
