Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws while transporting loads safely and on time.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals and observing all safety regulations.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading using specialized equipment; unload empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices and shipping paperwork (e.g., shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation after each route.
  • •Perform routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil/water/fuel/air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the weight of vehicle to be operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing and be able to pass DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Provide strong interpersonal and customer service skills and speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
  • •Meet physical requirements including prolonged sitting in a trailer cab, lifting/moving up to 40 pounds, and traveling frequently.
