Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide guidance on collecting, compiling, and analyzing data (surveys, blueprints, GIS data, maps) for traffic project development, design, and construction.
  • •Apply traffic engineering techniques across project phases (concept, preliminary/final design, procurement, construction, operation) to identify improvements.
  • •Perform traffic engineering investigations and inspections to assess roadway/intersection/site conditions and ensure conformance with rules, standards, and permits.
  • •Serve as Engineer of Record for signing and pavement marking, signalization, and lighting plans.
  • •Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute concurrent traffic projects, including budgets, tracking, permitting, compliance documentation, and technical analysis memos.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior traffic design experience.
  • •Engineer license required.
  • •Prior demonstrated knowledge of DOT advisory circulars and procedures.
  • •Proficient and extensive knowledge of traffic engineering principles and design/build related to traffic control equipment, capacity/operational analysis, and communications systems.
