Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and execute multi-year global sourcing strategies across critical raw materials, strategic minerals, rare earth elements/magnets, and energetic formulations.
  • •Build, mentor, and lead commodity managers, strategic sourcing leads, and technical sourcing engineers across global sites.
  • •Manage executive-level supplier relationships down to sub-tier processors, smelters, refiners, and chemical synthesis partners to preempt bottlenecks and dependencies.
  • •Lead high-stakes commercial negotiations for MSAs, development agreements, LTAs, and SOWs, optimizing pricing, IP protection, warranty, payment terms, and lead times.
  • •Ensure supply chain resilience by identifying multi-tier bottlenecks and single points of failure and driving end-to-end resolution (alternative qualification, capacity investment, strategic buffers).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • •10+ years in raw materials & energetics strategic sourcing, global commodity management of specialty chemicals, or defense-critical supply chains.
  • •5+ years building, managing, and scaling high-performing procurement or supply chain teams.
  • •Proven expertise negotiating enterprise-level agreements and managing critical minerals/rare earths (e.g., Germanium, NdFeB magnets) and/or energetic systems (propellants, rocket motors, pyrotechnics).
  • •Ability to travel up to 25%-50% and relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa (if not already local).
