Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients, selling and delivering retail banking products and providing ongoing service.
  • •Establish and update client understanding of financial needs using sound profiling and personal financial planning analysis; work with investment accounts and objectives/policies.
  • •Stay current on economic, legal, and financial planning trends to act as a personal financial planning/advisory resource for clients and their CPAs/attorneys.
  • •Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals by developing new clients, expanding services, marketing new products, supporting the sales management process, and maintaining sales activity/pipeline in the contact management system.
  • •Coordinate integrated client service and development with Truist product and service specialists (IRM partners), advocate for clients, and work within audit/compliance/regulatory frameworks.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience and training.
  • •Minimum five years of financial services experience with clients in banking, investments, and/or retail lending, or one year in a financial client relationship manager role.
  • •Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning/advisory, insurance, investment management, asset allocation, and retail credit/traditional retail banking products for mass affluent clients.
  • •Active Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65 in lieu of 66), plus applicable active insurance licenses (Life, Health, and Variable); must be maintained or obtained within 100–150 days, with FINRA license transfer within 60 days, and SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliance within 30 days (including NMLS background check).
  • •Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship management skills with strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
