Service and repair commercial and industrial heating and air conditioning systems, including commercial refrigeration units. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant leak issues using schematics and technical documentation, and perform planned inspections, repairs, installations, and emergency coverage. Work on plant utility systems such as chilled water, hot water, city water, and glycol systems while ensuring full compliance with safety and trade regulations. Complete required documentation and work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

•Diagnose, maintain, repair, replace, and start up HVAC systems and commercial refrigeration units.
•Troubleshoot system issues, including locating and repairing refrigerant leaks and electrical/mechanical failures.
•Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to support installation, maintenance, and repair.
•Perform work on plant utility systems including compressed air and water systems (chilled water, hot water, city water, glycol).
•Ensure compliance with safety and trade regulations, operate tools safely, and document completed work.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience (or equivalent).
•Certification and experience as RETA Operator 1 required; RETA Operator 2/3 preferred.
•Ability to perform refrigerant recovery and reclamation in compliance with regulations.
•Basic computer skills to log information, process work orders, and use a CMMS.
•Ability to meet physical requirements (e.g., lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs occasionally) and work in confined spaces and varying temperatures.
