Job Summary

Provide technical ownership of CCS design as a technical lead on the In-Service Programme team supporting V Class delivery. Own project scope, manage design changes and design baselines, lead programme-level design reviews, and ensure design governance and Certificates of Design are produced. Review and influence technical requirements and architecture to enable system integration across sub-systems, delivering subject matter expertise for software-intensive integration, V&V, and risk identification with stakeholders and suppliers.

•Support the Engineering manager to deliver in-service programmes and lead key design decisions.
•Oversee project scope, manage design changes, and lead programme-level design reviews with governance maintained.
•Coordinate stakeholders and manage design baselines while ensuring Certificates of Design are produced where required.
•Review and influence technical requirements and architecture to support integration, verification and validation of software-intensive systems.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 47,241 annually

Key Requirements

•Lead on technical issues with Chartered Engineer status or be willing to achieve it.
•Have specialist knowledge and prior experience using DOORS.
•Have extensive network or software engineering experience, ideally with operations background.
•Demonstrate experience in change management processes.
•Systems Engineering (INCOSE) qualifications (desirable) and network/software engineering experience with ex-operator background (desirable).
