Job Summary

Experienced Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to support mine waste, civil and geotechnical projects in Tucson, AZ. You'll work with regional teams on mining, heavy civil, and geotechnical efforts, performing site characterization, facility design, slope stability analyses, and prepare technical reports while collaborating with engineers, planners and scientists.

Key Responsibilities

•Work as part of a cross-functional team of engineers, planners and scientists to execute project work, including laying out installations, foundations, slopes, retaining structures and other systems.
•Prepare project design packages with technical drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
•Conduct geotechnical studies and surveys to gain information for design and future needs.
•Perform domestic and international field assignments such as geotechnical investigations and construction monitoring.
•Ensure project work conforms with specifications, permit applications, compliance documentation and regulatory/technical memos.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or an equivalent field of study.
•4+ years of relevant post-education experience.
•Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or the ability to complete the exam within 6 months of start date.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform engineering calculations and analyses.
•Ability to work both independently and in teams; comfortable working in remote settings and travel domestically and internationally.
