Platform Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and operating a cloud-native infrastructure platform (GCP/AWS) with Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps across multiple regions. You will drive automation, observability, and reliability in a distributed, security-first environment, partnering with engineering, product, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, deploy, and maintain VM and Kubernetes infrastructure on GCP and AWS across dozens of clusters in development, staging, and production environments.
•Coordinate with peers and across teams to ensure work solves the right problems.
•Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform modules and Spacelift, provisioning networking, compute, storage, and security on GCP with AWS support.
•Implement and manage sophisticated multi-layer configuration management workflows.
•Build and maintain observability solutions using Grafana Cloud, Prometheus/Mimir, and OTel collectors; design dashboards and alerting."
•Manage certificate lifecycle, DNS automation, ingress controllers, and service mesh networking with Cilium.
•Partner with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Security teams to design resilient, scalable cloud-native systems and advise on capacity planning and disaster recovery.
•Eliminate toil through automation; write scripts, develop tools, and build CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency.
•Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation as part of a globally distributed team and lead post-incident reviews.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 141,000 - 249,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
•Proficiency in Python, Bash and Go for scripting and automation.
•Strong understanding of Kubernetes including cluster administration, RBAC, networking, workload management, and troubleshooting.
•Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
•Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, VPC networking, Cloud DNS, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, IAM, and Workload Identity.
