Job Summary

Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax safety, quality, and reliability standards. Perform automotive maintenance and complex mechanical/electrical repairs, complete multi-point inspections, and document findings using established processes. Repair or replace vehicle components and support reconditioning, including alignment, suspension, and performance diagnostics. Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals while following CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements in a clean, climate-controlled workspace.

Key Responsibilities

•Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax standards, aligned to experience level.
•Perform automotive services from basic maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
•Complete multi-point inspections and document findings and completed work following established processes.
•Repair or replace vehicle components (e.g., trim, seals, and panels) to support reconditioning.
•Assist with alignment, suspension, and performance diagnostics while following EH&S requirements and maintaining a clean workspace.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 33.81 - 53.8 hourly

Key Requirements

•Basic to intermediate experience in automotive repair, including engines, brakes, suspension, or HVAC systems.
•Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and compliance standards.
•Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
•Strong attention to detail with clear verbal and written communication skills.
•Valid driver’s license required.
