Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates through medical care.
  • •Ensure the safety and security of inmates and the community.
  • •Provide a respectful environment to inmates.
  • •Provide diagnosis and treatment across primary care, mental health, drug & alcohol, and emergency care needs.
  • •Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
  • •Degree in Medicine from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • •Recognised as a Fellow (or working towards) RACGP.
  • •Current Life Support certification (ALS).
  • •Experience in Primary Care, Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol, and Emergency care, with ability to provide diagnosis and treatment.
