Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure safe, timely delivery of the department work programme covering construction, maintenance, fault investigation/repair, and defect management.
  • •Manage personal objectives, identify resource requirements for capacity planning, and proactively manage interfaces for effective time management and availability.
  • •Develop robust HVDC operational knowledge and contribute to delivery of current and future HVDC stations across design, commissioning, and operation.
  • •Lead maintenance of highly complex interlinked auxiliary systems including HVDC valve cooling and building management systems, ensuring health and safety is upheld.
  • •Support statutory/environmental obligations, outage planning with OCC and operations planning, and keep data management consistent by updating SAP/NAMS as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures, and working practices.
  • •Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation, including Fluorinated Gas Regulations.
  • •Knowledge of network and business data and network management systems.
  • •Ability to devise solutions to problems/challenges and manage communication and people effectively.
  • •Preferably qualified to Degree or HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (Electrical Engineering HNC or working towards).
