Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a power distribution systems subject matter expert (LV/MV operation, grid modernisation) and provide technical leadership for customer transitions.
  • •Drive commercial discovery and support product demos, technical workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements that communicate Gridsight’s operational and commercial value.
  • •Lead end-to-end technical onboarding for new utility customers, tailoring deployment and workflow configurations to network characteristics and compliance obligations.
  • •Act as a forward-deployed engineer to discover, design, prototype, and test MVP solutions, collaborating with Product and Engineering to feed Australian market requirements into the roadmap.
  • •Support bids, tenders, RFIs/RFPs, and partner proposals with high-quality technical contributions while representing Gridsight at industry events and thought leadership forums.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
  • •At least 5–10 years of experience in power systems engineering, distribution planning, or related utility/energy technology work.
  • •Hands-on experience with advanced power system modeling tools (e.g., PowerFactory, CYME, PSS/E) and cloud-based SaaS technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • •Strong skills in distribution system planning or DER integration, including APIs, data management, and scripting (e.g., Python, SQL) for data processing.
  • •Comfort working across technical and non-technical stakeholders, with proven communication and presentation skills.
