Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and grow a six-person hybrid team of software engineers and ML engineers for the agent runtime platform.
  • •Own onboarding of internal tenant teams onto the agent runtime in partnership with PMs and engineering managers.
  • •Drive the technical architecture of the agent runtime service, including the context retrieval layer, for reliability, scalability, and quality.
  • •Define and lead an eval-driven development culture using evaluation frameworks and quality assessments to guide technical direction.
  • •Manage on-call rotation, provide leadership during escalated incidents, and coordinate improvements to minimize disruptions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 217,000 - 271,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of software or ML engineering experience with strong technical fundamentals, including distributed systems and ML systems.
  • •2+ years of engineering management experience leading hybrid teams of software and ML engineers, leading from the front.
  • •Hands-on experience with AI agents or LLM-based systems, including agent architectures (e.g., ReAct, planner-based).
  • •Experience with evaluation methodologies for agent quality (e.g., recall, precision, NDCG, LLM-as-judge) and deploying customer-facing agents at scale.
  • •Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and partner cross-functionally with product and engineering leaders.
