Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure HSE approval of new raw materials and suppliers and prepare/maintain workplace safety data sheets.
  • •Conduct chemical health risk assessments, monitor chemical exposure risks, and deliver chemical risk training programs for employees.
  • •Serve as site advisor for dangerous goods transportation, including internal training, audits, waste classification, incident support, and maintenance of transportation legal documentation and Nomeref database.
  • •Ensure compliance with Swiss and European chemical regulations, including OChim, CLP, REACH, ADR, and restricted substance requirements.
  • •Lead investigations related to chemical product incidents and dangerous goods transportation events, partnering with the EMEA Industrial Hygiene team to implement dsm-firmenich standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline with strong chemical safety and product stewardship expertise.
  • •5–10 years of product stewardship experience in flavors & fragrances, pharmaceuticals, chemical, food, or related industries.
  • •Strong knowledge of Swiss and European chemical regulations, including OChim, CLP, REACH, and ADR.
  • •Experience with chemical health risk assessments, exposure monitoring, incident investigations, and providing technical support to operations and site leadership.
  • •Fluency in English and French, with strong communication and an analytical, data-driven approach to audits, teamwork, and problem-solving.
