Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the long-term roadmap for routing software technologies and operating systems, ensuring alignment across hardware platforms and Cisco Cloud Control, Crosswork automation, and observability.
  • •Represent Cisco’s routing innovation in standards bodies and industry forums (including IETF and SONiC community), publishing and speaking to shape industry discourse.
  • •Partner with engineering, sales, and business unit leaders to prioritize investments and deliver differentiated, scalable software solutions.
  • •Bridge technical developments in silicon and optics with routing technologies and AIOps to design resilient and agile network foundations for the AI era.
  • •Collaborate with customers, partners, standards organizations, and open-source communities to address networking challenges and deliver secure, operationally efficient solutions at scale.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of professional experience in networking software, routing technologies, and network operating systems.
  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or similar STEM field.
  • •Expertise in networking domains and protocols including IOS XR, SONiC, Linux-based network OS, Segment Routing (SR-MPLS/SRv6), and EVPN/VXLAN MPLS BGP, IS-IS, and OSPF.
  • •Experience with network security and model-driven programmability (YANG, NETCONF, gNMI) as well as cloud-native software architectures.
  • •Demonstrated ability defining long-term technology strategies and translating them into product roadmaps, with executive communication influence across stakeholders.
