Job Summary

Senior Legal Counsel to support Agoda’s travel business in Bangkok, handling a broad range of legal and regulatory matters related to flights, experiences/attractions, ground transportation, and packages. You’ll draft and negotiate agreements, manage contracts, advise across product and commercial teams, and help ensure compliant, timely resolutions while coordinating with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Taking responsibility for a wide range of legal and regulatory matters relating to the travel business including flights, experiences/attractions, ground transportation and packages.
•Negotiating and drafting agreements relating to travel-related content involving software services, technology licensing and product development, and support as required in litigation/disputes and other consumer protection and regulatory matters.
•Participating in effective negotiation and ensuring timely completion of contracts and, where required, assisting business stakeholders with ongoing contract management.
•Advising and supporting the global launch of travel products and product features.
•Working as a team player with internal stakeholders to deliver effective support and advice, formulation and coordination of positions across different departments, reporting and escalation of issues.

Key Requirements

•Qualified to practise as a lawyer with a Law Degree/Juris Doctor (4+ years post-qualification experience in a leading private practice and/or in-house legal department).
•Strong commercial/IT/technology law experience, preferably in travel or related content including software services, licensing and product development.
•Proactive, pragmatic and commercially minded with ability to negotiate and draft complex contracts and support business stakeholders across departments.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with internal stakeholders at all levels and to deliver timely advice.
•Experience supporting global launches of travel products and adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
