Job Summary

Lead Finance Operations for HSBC Life by managing the monthly financial book close aligned to group and local regulatory reporting timelines. Monitor daily batch runs from the Health Policy Administration System (PAS/COMPASS) and drive remediation for exemptions. Key Responsibilities

•Manage monthly financial book close in line with group financial reporting and local regulatory reporting timelines, covering distribution, health, and fixed asset related processes.
•Monitor daily batch runs from Health Policy Administration System (PAS/COMPASS) and manage remediation actions for exemptions.
•Act as the main finance subject matter expert (SME) supporting product development and system Day2 change request activities.
•Partner with Distribution teams (Distribution Support Services and Distribution Performance Management) to ensure correct booking alignment to production period and insurance fund.
•Manage end user computing (EUC) controls and provide balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation support for distribution accounts.

Key Requirements

•Relevant experience in finance operations, preferably in the Life insurance industry.
•Prior experience managing insurance commission and distribution cost booking.
•Ability to work with the current GL and policy admin system and help drive operational simplifications using Alteryx, PowerBuilder, and AI.
•Professional qualification in accounting and finance.
•Degree in accounting and finance.
