Job Summary

Own functional process and system expertise for Oracle SaaS modules supporting Finance, HR and Research within the Core Systems Optimisation team. Tackle incident resolution and end-user Level 2 support, implement configuration changes (integrations, conversions, enhancements and forms), and develop reports for business intelligence. Plan releases, run regression testing, maintain documentation and process maps, and ensure data integrity through master data management and issue investigation.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain in-depth knowledge of business processes and module functionality, including data requirements and quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency).
•Resolve Level 2 calls from the ITS Service Now Desk, including break/fix, configuration issues, and troubleshooting data or user-error issues.
•Undertake configuration changes (integrations, conversions, enhancements, forms) and keep documentation up to date and accurate.
•Evaluate releases across modules and coordinate regression testing by defining test conditions, designing test cases/scripts, and reporting outcomes, issues and risks.
•Maintain data integrity via master data management creation, investigate data issues, and contribute to updating training materials and end-user training.

Salary: GBP 33,002 - 35,608 annually

Key Requirements

•Relevant professional experience in Higher Education, a comparable complex public sector body, or a significant commercial organisation.
•Experience in one or more HR & payroll modules, including Core HR and Payroll (with additional experience such as Absence Management, Time and Labor, Recruiting, Talent/Performance Management, Learning, or Compensation).
•Knowledge and experience implementing systems in a complex organisational environment.
•Experience troubleshooting production issues (including Fast formulas), supporting quarterly Oracle updates, and performing impact assessments.
•Ability to coordinate Oracle Service Requests and support UAT and Production deployments, including building and maintaining technical configurations.
