Job Summary

Provide technical and policy guidance on environmental regulatory requirements and product sustainability topics for EU, UK, and Middle East manufacturing sites. You’ll support permit compliance, continuous performance improvement, and cost reduction as part of the EAME EHS Centre of Excellence, monitoring legislative activity, advising on legislation and assessments, and helping implement Huntsman policies and standards across sites.

Job Function: Environmental & Sustainability

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor legislative activity and communicate potential environmental impacts to management and manufacturing sites.
•Provide leadership and guidance on implementing Huntsman environmental policies and standards.
•Advise on regional legislation and support permit compliance assessment and improvement.
•Support environmental management, monitoring, and corporate improvement processes across EAME sites.
•Provide technical and policy advice on new environmental legislation and collaborate with stakeholders in the UK and the US.

Key Requirements

•Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., environmental science, sustainability, ecology, chemistry, biology).
•Knowledge of European environmental legislation, including Green Deal objectives and the Industrial Emissions Directive.
•Strong communication and influencing skills to work across internal and external networks.
•Ability to analyze and handle data, including using spreadsheets or databases for sustainability metrics.
•Broad knowledge of environmental issues and permitting processes.
