Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the AFC Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance on AFC systems, including automatic gates, ticket vending machines, ticket office machines, central control, and station AFC equipment.
  • •Install, service, and reconfigure AFC and CCTV systems in stations, depots, and car parks.
  • •Perform repairs and maintenance using hand, machine, electrical, and electronic tools, following technical drawings, schematics, manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
  • •Identify and replace faulty AFC equipment and hand over/take back items to the electronics workshop for repair; maintain accurate maintenance records in a computerized maintenance management system.
  • •Assist with complex systems/new projects, keep maintenance tools and equipment in good condition, and perform shift and emergency duties when required.

Key Requirements

  • •Preferably 1-year experience as a qualified electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or electronics technician maintaining and repairing Automatic Fare Collection systems and related components.
  • •Vocational trade certificate/diploma/degree in electronics, computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • •Ability to use electronic test equipment and PC for AFC system maintenance.
  • •Ability to write simple technical reports and prepare method statements and drawings as required.
  • •Possess strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills; preferably hold a valid UAE driving license.
