Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and coordinate nursing teams to enable optimal patient care within the Medical and Cardiology Unit.
  • •Deliver safe, comprehensive, quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
  • •Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
  • •Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions and nursing care plans.
  • •Ensure infection prevention and control, and accurately chart utilised stock and equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse OR a 4-year Nursing Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing.
  • •Proven experience as a Professional Nurse within a Medical and/or Cardiology Unit.
  • •Basic life support training (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards).
  • •Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
  • •Knowledge of nursing processes/procedures, nursing record keeping, infection prevention and control, and relevant nursing legislation.
