Key Responsibilities

  • •Foster a culture of health and safety by practicing Teck’s Life Saving Commitments and ensuring compliance with Teck Health, Safety and Environmental Programs and the BC Mines Act.
  • •Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Highland Valley Copper’s Asset Management Program, aligned to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and corporate objectives.
  • •Develop and maintain lifecycle cost (LCC) models and asset strategies to optimize asset performance, reliability, risk, and total cost of ownership across the asset lifecycle.
  • •Conduct asset health, risk, and economic analyses to support capital investment decisions, including business cases and capital investment recommendations.
  • •Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers and technical professionals; ensure asset data is accurate and effectively used within asset management and maintenance systems.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 122,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Mechanical or Mining Engineering degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • •Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) as a P. Eng.
  • •5+ years of experience in asset management, reliability, project management, maintenance planning and scheduling, and/or execution in mining or heavy industrial environments.
  • •Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, and cost, including experience overseeing budgets of $5M or more.
  • •Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS tools such as Maximo or SAP, plus strong leadership and communication skills.
