Job Summary

Lead Highland Valley Copper’s mobile and fixed plant asset management programs, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and regulatory requirements while supporting safety, reliability, and business objectives. Build and maintain lifecycle cost (LCC) models and asset strategies, conduct asset health and risk/economic analyses, and develop long-term plans for refurbishment, replacement, modernization, and end-of-life. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and clear communication across mine-site stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Foster a culture of health and safety by practicing Teck’s Life Saving Commitments and ensuring compliance with Teck Health, Safety and Environmental Programs and the BC Mines Act.
•Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Highland Valley Copper’s Asset Management Program, aligned to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and corporate objectives.
•Develop and maintain lifecycle cost (LCC) models and asset strategies to optimize asset performance, reliability, risk, and total cost of ownership across the asset lifecycle.
•Conduct asset health, risk, and economic analyses to support capital investment decisions, including business cases and capital investment recommendations.
•Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers and technical professionals; ensure asset data is accurate and effectively used within asset management and maintenance systems.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 122,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Mechanical or Mining Engineering degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
•Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) as a P. Eng.
•5+ years of experience in asset management, reliability, project management, maintenance planning and scheduling, and/or execution in mining or heavy industrial environments.
•Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, and cost, including experience overseeing budgets of $5M or more.
•Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS tools such as Maximo or SAP, plus strong leadership and communication skills.
