Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide national leadership for AECOM’s Social Impact practice and lead the Social Impact team across Canada.
  • •Lead and develop methodologies, workplans, and deliverables for socio-economic and social impact studies, including baseline studies and analysis reports.
  • •Oversee field studies, surveys, and interviews with community and regional stakeholders, including establishing assessment baselines.
  • •Develop and deliver community engagement plans and Indigenous consultation strategies; plan and facilitate public participation activities.
  • •Manage projects and teams, review technical documents and presentations, and support business development activities including proposal writing.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in Economics, Social Science (Sociology, Anthropology, Community/Planning) or Environmental Science (Sustainability, Human Geography), Business, or related fields.
  • •10+ years of relevant consulting experience in socio-environmental/socio-economic impact assessment or Indigenous engagement.
  • •Demonstrated experience engaging communities and stakeholders and building relationships with Indigenous communities in Ontario and/or across Canada.
  • •Knowledge of the provincial environmental assessment process and the federal Impact Assessment Act 2019, plus related laws for socio-environmental assessment and consultation.
  • •Excellent communication, research/data analysis, technical writing, proposal writing, and experience leading teams; advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
