Job Summary

Plan and oversee electrical engineering activities for the BNPP project, supervising the Prime Contractor and subcontractors to ensure proper design, construction, installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems. Lead technical reviews of deliverables, ensure adherence to PC requirements, UAE regulations, and safety standards, and coordinate with Materials, Quality Surveillance, and stakeholders throughout design, construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct primary technical reviews of PC design deliverables related to electrical equipment/systems design & calculations, SLDs, schematic and cable block diagrams, and procurement/tendering packages to ensure compliance with PC requirements, project schedule, and UAE laws and regulations.
•Monitor the Prime Contractor to ensure expectations are met in electrical systems and equipment during design, construction, installation, and commissioning of BNPP.
•Review vendor documentation with respect to electrical equipment & materials to ensure compliance with PC requirements.
•Evaluate electrical related design changes & non-conformances to ensure fulfillment of requirements and prepare recommendations for corrective actions.
•Liaise with Materials and Quality Surveillance to ensure electrical equipment installation activities comply with engineering design requirements, project contracts, schedule, and Safety/Quality standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
•Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering
•Experience in construction or related industry operations in an electrical engineering role
•Preferred Master degree in Electrical Engineering
•Chartered or Professional Engineer (preferred)
