Job Summary

Jr R&D Technologist will support the development and improvement of new and existing products and processes within Kraft Heinz NZ R&D, focusing on time, quality, and cost, including prototype development, feasibility studies, and cost assessments. Based in Hastings with hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days remote), you’ll contribute to NPD initiatives and collaborate across manufacturing, procurement, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the development and improvement of new and existing products and processes focusing on time, quality and cost, including activities such as project feasibility, prototype development, and new ingredient evaluation & product costing.
•Establishing production methods and setting up factory documentation to enable trials and commercial production.
•Supervision of factory trials and production workflows, ensuring alignment with NPD stage and gate processes and QA requirements.
•Provide technical guidance and input to manufacturing, procurement and quality programs to drive project completion and adherence to business processes.
•Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through NPD and ongoing product improvements.
