Key Responsibilities

  • •Control and operate the asphalt paving machine for safe, efficient production.
  • •Manage material taken into the paver and control depths of material distributed through the machine.
  • •Maintain efficient working condition of the equipment, performing minor servicing and maintenance or referring major problems to the supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required, plus at least two years of related asphalt and road construction experience.

  • •Thorough understanding of asphalt paving fundamentals (preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specs, oil consistencies, compaction).
  • •Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • •Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, fit-for-work physical, and provide valid I-9 immigration documentation.
