Key Responsibilities

  • •Review work orders to plan tools, equipment, time, manpower, parts, and supplies; create work orders in SAP.
  • •Respond quickly to emergency calls and diagnose/repair complex issues using technical documents (blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals).
  • •Perform hands-on maintenance and equipment repair: monitor machinery, disassemble/troubleshoot, replace parts, test functionality, and fabricate replacement parts using welding/cutting/sheet metal work.
  • •Install and maintain mechanical and electrical systems (equipment, piping, electrical controls) and utilities including electrical, water, gas, and drain lines.
  • •Follow company safety protocols including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and adhere to GMPs; perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing; or 4 years’ direct experience in industrial mechanical maintenance/food manufacturing maintenance.
  • •Vocational diploma, technical diploma, or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).
  • •Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of personnel and outside contractors.
  • •Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • •Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, read and execute work orders, and write daily reports while translating equipment manuals.
