Job Summary

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced food processing environment. Use work orders (including SAP), respond to emergencies, and interpret technical documents like blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals. Perform preventive maintenance, disassemble and test equipment, fabricate replacement parts, install and maintain mechanical and electrical systems, and follow LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and GMP safety requirements to minimize downtime.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Review work orders to plan tools, equipment, time, manpower, parts, and supplies; create work orders in SAP.
•Respond quickly to emergency calls and diagnose/repair complex issues using technical documents (blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals).
•Perform hands-on maintenance and equipment repair: monitor machinery, disassemble/troubleshoot, replace parts, test functionality, and fabricate replacement parts using welding/cutting/sheet metal work.
•Install and maintain mechanical and electrical systems (equipment, piping, electrical controls) and utilities including electrical, water, gas, and drain lines.
•Follow company safety protocols including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and adhere to GMPs; perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 28.45 - 39.88 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing; or 4 years’ direct experience in industrial mechanical maintenance/food manufacturing maintenance.
•Vocational diploma, technical diploma, or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).
•Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of personnel and outside contractors.
•Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
•Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, read and execute work orders, and write daily reports while translating equipment manuals.
