Key Responsibilities

•Develop engineering solutions for projects, or work packages of varying scale, complexity, value and project stages, and could be working across several projects at any given time.
•Be actively engaged, or responsible depending on experience, for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.
•Work collaboratively with clients, key stakeholders and internal disciplines.
•Support Project and Technical Delivery Leads in planning, programming, and pricing of proposals and deliverables.
•You will be supported by a team of experienced and developing technical staff of various grades, to whom you will be expected to provide guidance and support as appropriate.

Key Requirements

•A Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or suitable equivalent.
•Working towards IEng or CEng with demonstrable progress.
•Knowledge and experience of highway design at various stages of the project life cycle; areas such as highway geometry, active travel, public transport, highway drainage, road restraint systems, pavements, traffic signs and road markings, and utilities are advantageous.
•Knowledge of relevant design standards and codes of best practice such as the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, TSRGD, Active Travel Act (Wales) Guidance, and Local Authority design guidance.
•The ability to use or direct the use of software such as Autodesk Civils 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, InfoDrainage, Causeway and/or PDS, and experience of CDM regulations.
