Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop engineering solutions for projects, or work packages of varying scale, complexity, value and project stages, and could be working across several projects at any given time.
  • •Be actively engaged, or responsible depending on experience, for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.
  • •Work collaboratively with clients, key stakeholders and internal disciplines.
  • •Support Project and Technical Delivery Leads in planning, programming, and pricing of proposals and deliverables.
  • •You will be supported by a team of experienced and developing technical staff of various grades, to whom you will be expected to provide guidance and support as appropriate.

Key Requirements

  • •A Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or suitable equivalent.
  • •Working towards IEng or CEng with demonstrable progress.
  • •Knowledge and experience of highway design at various stages of the project life cycle; areas such as highway geometry, active travel, public transport, highway drainage, road restraint systems, pavements, traffic signs and road markings, and utilities are advantageous.
  • •Knowledge of relevant design standards and codes of best practice such as the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, TSRGD, Active Travel Act (Wales) Guidance, and Local Authority design guidance.
  • •The ability to use or direct the use of software such as Autodesk Civils 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, InfoDrainage, Causeway and/or PDS, and experience of CDM regulations.
