Job Summary

Instrumentation Technician Journeyperson role supporting offshore oil and gas operations. Key Responsibilities

•Install, maintain, inspect, test, adjust and repair measuring and control devices (electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic) used in industrial processing
•Read, understand, and follow drawings and specifications; use power, pneumatic, electronic and hand tools
•Work in confined spaces and/or at heights, in noisy conditions and extreme temperatures; offshore environment
•Follow safety rules and Life Saving Rules; read and respond to safety alerts, warnings, hazards, etc.
•Travel offshore as needed (helicopter or supply vessel) and work 12-hour shifts on rotation

Key Requirements

•Successful completion of 4 Period Apprenticeship in the trade, followed by Journeyperson Certification OR provides evidence of a minimum of 6,120 hours of experience directly related to the trade
•Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in industrial construction, maintenance, fabrication, and/or repair (preferred offshore experience)
•Offshore certificates and training (asset): Basic Survival Training (BST) including HUET and HUEBA; Rigging, Slinging, and Banksman; Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Alive; WHMIS 2015; Offshore Safety Regulatory Awareness; Fall Protection; Confined Space Entry; Emergency First Aid
•Journeypersons in the trade must demonstrate competence in their trade
•Willing and eligible to travel offshore via helicopter or supply vessel
