Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and development of the next iteration of the global platform for cross-border payments and international fund collections.
  • •Take full accountability for services under a “You build it, you own it” model, from system design through deployment and production health.
  • •Lead product initiatives end-to-end with Product and Operations, turning financial business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
  • •Mentor and coach less experienced engineers through high engineering standards and thorough code reviews.
  • •Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to design robust, modular services and components.

Key Requirements

  • •Design, build, and maintain highly available software systems at scale with strong clean code, design patterns, and testability (unit/integration testing).
  • •Hands-on payments, fintech, or banking experience, including multi-currency handling and transactional/ledger consistency challenges.
  • •Strong distributed systems experience, including asynchronous messaging and relational databases.
  • •Ability to run what you build: build APIs, integrate external systems, and set up monitoring and alerting for production observability.
  • •Communicate complex technical ideas clearly in English to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.
