Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform ultrasound imagery procedures according to department policies, procedures, and protocols, applying anatomy and physiology knowledge to produce high diagnostic-quality images.
  • •Evaluate and assess ultrasound images for acceptable quality and completeness, and forward images to the Radiologist for review and reporting.
  • •Operate radiology equipment and patient appliances safely and competently; report incidents, equipment faults, or deterioration to senior staff.
  • •Maintain quality and safety standards, including quality improvement measures, SOP/QA tests, clinical audit support, infection control, and environmental safety precautions.
  • •Maintain documentation of interventions, maintain a clean working environment, and support patient enquiries and staff education/training activities.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years post-graduate ultrasound experience in an acute care hospital, including Doppler, obstetrics/gynecology, and abdominal sonography; includes 2+ years as a senior ultrasound radiographer in an acute care hospital.
  • •OR 4+ years post-graduate ultrasound experience in an acute care hospital, including Doppler, obstetrics/gynecology, and abdominal sonography.
  • •UAE National: 2+ years post-graduate experience in general radiography.
  • •Post-graduates ultrasound diploma certificate (desired).
  • •Maintain regulatory requirements, including licensure/certification and mandatory training within established time frames.
