Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling, starters/alternators, air conditioning, engine electronics, steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Use test instruments and road testing to identify malfunctions, generating and evaluating alternatives using sound judgment.
  • •Manage assigned parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document all findings and complete DOT and other forms accurately using company standards and upload repair order (RO) documentation via a proprietary TRAIT application on an iOS device.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as a related degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Ability to perform mobile field work, including preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
  • •Possess and supply the set of hand tools necessary for required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Successfully complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity), and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license.
