Key Responsibilities

  • •Check equipment readiness prior to start up and ensure team members are in place for processing breaks.
  • •Assist with the process of grading chicks and takeoff of boxes.
  • •Take boxes from counter lines, stack onto metal pallets (up to 15 high), and move chick dollies to the chick holding room.
  • •Count and take inventory of each flock, make vaccine every 40 minutes, and count chicks every hour while weighing chick boxes and performing welfare checks.
  • •Perform cleanup of chick rooms, floors, and chick belts; clean vaccine rooms/equipment and change tubing weekly; keep accurate vaccine counts and nitrogen levels.
