Job Summary

Lead design management projects across the UK and internationally, overseeing design outputs, sub-consultants, budgets and processes to ensure quality and contractual compliance within AECOM’s infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead Design Management projects across the UK and internationally, ensuring timely delivery and quality output.
•Manage sub-consultants: responsibility matrices, back-to-back contracts, contract updates, cash flow projections and monthly financial reports.
•Establish and implement Design Management procedures: roles/scope delineation, progress reporting, deliverables, budget/change control, approvals, meetings and design coordination.
•Assist in managing the Design Management team and mentor junior members to develop capabilities.
•Review work outputs from the Design Management team to ensure quality and contractual compliance.

Key Requirements

•Understanding of the design process and project/programming skills.
•Experience in development and implementation of design management tools and procedures.
•Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness of projects.
•Construction knowledge/experience.
•Proficiency in MS Project, Excel and InDesign.
