Job Summary

Oversee the development, implementation, and communication of company-wide technical accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across global operations. Serve as a subject matter expert on complex areas including ASC 805 business combinations, ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 842 leases, software capitalization, and ASC 718 stock-based compensation. Provide US GAAP guidance, prepare technical analyses and disclosures, partner with business leaders on accounting implications, and collaborate with external auditors while mentoring the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as a subject matter expert on complex accounting topics such as ASC 805, ASC 606, ASC 842, software capitalization, and ASC 718.
•Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of company-wide accounting policies to align with evolving accounting standards.
•Provide technical accounting guidance, interpretive analysis, and disclosure recommendations to ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable regulations.
•Partner with business and functional leaders to evaluate accounting implications of initiatives including M&A, new product launches, commercial arrangements, and international expansion.
•Prepare, review, and document technical accounting analyses (e.g., position memos, journal entries, and disclosures), collaborating with external auditors and supporting SOX compliance and internal controls.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
•8+ years of professional experience with a mix of audit experience and technical accounting for a public filer, SEC reporting, audit firm National practice, or relevant advisory experience.
•Strong US GAAP technical accounting expertise, including research and drafting technical accounting position memos.
•Active CPA license.
•NetSuite experience is a plus.
