Key Responsibilities

  • •Staff the console per shift schedule and monitor cluster health, node availability, network health, facility trend panels, and storage alarms.
  • •Acknowledge every page within SLA; classify and log disposition; route noise patterns back to SRE to improve signal quality.
  • •Detect, verify, and escalate incidents using the escalation matrix (NOC → on-call SRE → domain owners) and operate incident bridges.
  • •Maintain incident communications leadership: provide first update within SLA, follow fixed cadence, keep the incident timeline current, and flag ownership stalls.
  • •Write major-incident reports, frame first-pass RCA for SRE/Hardware Failure Analysis, and open/track corrective projects in Linear to closure.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in a 24/7 operations environment (NOC, SOC, dispatch, mission control, or equivalent).
  • •Ability to acknowledge, classify, and escalate incidents under SLA in a high-signal environment.
  • •Experience opening and running incident bridges with fixed-cadence stakeholder updates and live incident timeline hygiene.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear incident updates.
  • •Pattern recognition across compute, network, storage, and/or facilities signals, with process discipline using runbooks and escalation matrices.
