Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform services related to electrical studies, SCADA, and system protection, supporting broad activities or specializing based on project needs and expertise.
  • •Conduct protective relaying work including analysis, time-current coordination, protection criteria, relay settings, SCADA integration, NERC compliance, and arc flash analysis.
  • •Execute power system planning and steady-state/dynamic stability studies, including outage contingencies, generation interconnect feasibility, voltage stability margins, and batch simulation automation.
  • •Design studies such as substation grounding, electric/magnetic fields, insulation coordination, transient simulation, power quality (harmonics, voltage flicker, over/under voltage), and motor starting.
  • •Support networking/communications and logic/control systems (RTU, relays, meters, HMIs, PLCs; protocol design; control scheme development) and write technical reports summarizing findings and conclusions.

Key Requirements

  • •BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering), BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology), or BSCE (BS Computer Engineering) degree from an ABET-accredited university.
  • •3 to 5 years of industry experience performing design or device configuration in technical disciplines aligned to protective relaying/SCADA/system protection.
  • •Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and their application to permitting and project work-related issues.
  • •Analytical mindset with sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
