Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspect civil works and electrical installations for transmission projects (lines and substations) to ensure technical, regulatory, schedule, and quality compliance.
  • •Coordinate outages and LOTO procedures with regulated system operators to minimize impact on the grid.
  • •Oversee site QA/QC activities, ITP execution, and hold point releases per project requirements.
  • •Supervise the installation and interconnection of major electrical equipment (transformers, GIS modules, reactors) and ensure proper wiring to the existing network.
  • •Apply Wood HSE protocols on site and manage worker rotation for altitude medical fitness and safety.

Key Requirements

  • •>15 years of professional experience with at least 10 years in inspection of electrical transmission works (220 kV or higher)
  • •Proven experience on at least one 500 kV transmission project (line or transformer station) in Andean cordillera
  • •Experience at sites above 3,000 m asl and rotating 14x14 schedules
  • •Experience in GIS 500 kV and/or 220 kV substations
  • •Experience assembling single-phase autotransformer banks and brownfield works tied into the interconnected system
