Key Responsibilities

  • •Own subsystem design activities (CAD, hand calculations, prototypes) from concept generation to launch.
  • •Lead subsystem design reviews and communicate timelines and technical status to the team.
  • •Act as the Responsible Engineer: run analysis, visit vendors, and define/execute hardware test plans.
  • •Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful designs to flight hardware and low-rate production.
  • •Create technical documentation including slide packages, test plans/reports, procedures, and drawings.

Key Requirements

  • •BS or higher in engineering or a hard science
  • •Hands-on hands-on technical project experience (collegiate or professional)
  • •CAD skills and ability to produce high quality engineering drawings that meet industry standards
  • •Demonstrated hands-on fabrication and assembly skills (hand tools, mill, lathe)
  • •Strong engineering fundamentals in heat transfer, statics, solid mechanics, and materials
