Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals and diagnose issues using data from many equipment makes/models.
  • •Perform safe equipment repairs and preventive maintenance for power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures in the shop and at customer locations, and complete repairs.
  • •Set up and operate equipment at shop and customer sites, working individually or with other technicians.
  • •Maintain complete daily electronic paperwork/work order documentation, assist with pick-up/delivery of equipment and parts, and help train lower-level technicians as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with tools knowledge.
  • •Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Experience calculating nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading/understanding schematics.
  • •Provide superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • •High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred (EPA 608 certification preferred; ability to obtain within 6–12 months of employment).
