Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead supplier selection for specific product using approved supplier list and drive cost optimization through collaboration with engineering, quality, and manufacturing.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, trade-off analyses, should-cost models, joint design development with clear statements of work, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs.
  • •Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing to enable ramp production with high flexibility and manage CAPEX throughout NPI.
  • •Map value streams to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility and complete BOM risk assessments including alternate sourcing.
  • •Converge bottoms-up cost curves to product cost and manage issues like tariffs/cost inflation to maximize total cost of ownership across the lifecycle.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
  • •8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices
  • •Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component & product level
  • •Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time, variable based on program needs
  • •Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
