Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the dedicated supplier quality focal for Rocket Motor Systems, providing single-point accountability for supplier quality across the motor bill of materials.
•Lead immediate containment and triage for supplier quality escapes, nonconformances, and delivery disruptions, engaging SQE specialists when deeper expertise is needed.
•Own the supplier corrective action lifecycle (SCAR issuance through root cause verification and effectiveness confirmation) and present status, trends, and closure rates monthly to the Corrective Action Board.
•Develop and maintain supplier quality development plans for critical suppliers, identifying capability gaps and investments to transition to high-rate production readiness.
•Conduct supplier site visits, audit supplier quality management systems against AS9100 and customer flowdown requirements, and drive supplier qualification (AS9102, PPAP, MSA, process capability studies).

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
•5+ years of supplier quality engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or propulsion manufacturing, including supplier development, auditing, and corrective action management.
•Experience scaling supplier quality from development/prototype through LRIP to full-rate production with the required process controls at each transition.
•Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and experience conducting or leading supplier audits (AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is a plus).
•Proficiency with AS9102, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and measurement systems analysis (MSA), plus ability to lead root cause investigations and corrective actions through verified effectiveness.
