Key Responsibilities

  • •Translate project concepts into defined HVAC system solutions using Trane products, controls, and complementary systems to support scope development and pre-construction planning.
  • •Partner with the project team to define scope and develop installation budgets; for smaller projects, prepare schematics, outline specifications, and subcontractor bid packages.
  • •Gather and evaluate project data, drawings, specifications, and existing site conditions to develop scopes and cost estimates.
  • •Analyze field conditions to identify scope gaps, constructability issues, conflicts, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • •Lead or support pre-bid meetings, coordinate subcontractor outreach and quote evaluation, and support project turnover documentation to execution and field operations teams.

Key Requirements

  • •General knowledge of basic engineering, electricity, mechanical HVAC systems, and the building construction industry.
  • •Understanding of construction methods/practices and ability to communicate with and direct subcontractors to obtain proposal information.
  • •Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or Engineering Technology (or equivalent education and work experience).
  • •Lead/participate in evaluating drawings, specifications, and existing site conditions to develop scopes and cost estimates.
  • •Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major/frequent traffic violations in the previous 3 years.
