Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute design concepts from prototype through bulk production while maintaining fit, quality, construction, and measurement consistency, assessing feasibility, risks, and solutions.
  • •Develop, modify, and evaluate patterns using manual and computer-aided tools, including grading and flat sketching, and support required drawing work.
  • •Create, maintain, and update Tech Packs, measurement specifications, pattern corrections, and technical documentation in required systems.
  • •Interpret designers’ style and fit direction into clear technical guidance for vendors, sample rooms, and production teams.
  • •Conduct fit sessions with live models, identify root causes of fit issues, and implement pattern and specification updates; oversee prototype and bulk garment execution with vendors and sample rooms.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (10+ years combined college education, pattern-making training, and work experience may substitute).
  • •Minimum 7 years executing design concepts into prototypes and bulk production.
  • •Apparel experience in women’s fit development for non-denim and denim woven bottoms (jeans, shorts, skirts, overalls), jackets, shirts, and dresses.
  • •Proficiency in manual and computer-aided patternmaking and grading; experience with PLM, Excel, and Gerber Fit development (CLO preferred).
  • •Experience creating Tech Packs and measurement specifications, evaluating garment execution against them, and working collaboratively with evolving tools and processes.
