Job Summary

Senior Highway Engineer responsible for producing detailed highway designs and construction drawings for UK projects, ensuring compliance with UK engineering standards. Will work on highway infrastructure design, junctions, roundabouts, and related detailing, using Civil 3D/OpenRoads and AutoCAD. Collaborates across UK/International projects, mentoring others and delivering high-quality design work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce detailed highway designs and construction drawings for UK projects (residential, industrial, commercial, transport, water, retail, health and education).
•Demonstrate compliance with UK design standards (DMRB/MfS/Local Highway Authority) and applicable sections (S38/S278).
•Check work to ensure quality deliverables and project timelines; supervise and motivate team members as needed.
•Utilize software such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD; prepare documentation in MS Word/Excel for project delivery.
•Collaborate with international project teams and manage design deliverables across multiple sites.

Key Requirements

•Highway design experience including horizontal/vertical design, highway detailing, traffic signs, road markings, kerbs, pavements and vehicle tracking; proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
