Job Summary

Ensure maximum uptime of production molding machines by diagnosing quality issues and deviations from customer specifications. Start up equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions and bottlenecks, and record adjustments. Coordinate raw material changes with material handlers, run test adjustments against quality standards, and update machine inserts to meet labeling and wording requirements. Identify parts needing replacement, assemble mechanical components as needed, and support on-shift operator assignments and cycle-time direction.

•Initiate the start of molding machines and ensure proper functionality to meet production targets.
•Troubleshoot molding machine malfunctions and bottlenecks using material changes or process adjustments.
•Record machine malfunction details and the corresponding adjustments.
•Communicate and verify required raw material adjustments with material handlers to improve efficiency and accuracy.
•Conduct test runs of process or machine adjustments to ensure alignment with quality standards.

Key Requirements

•At least 5 years of experience in plastics processing.
•Experience with mold changes, hydraulics, and electrical, including polymers/resins and injection molding machinery.

•Familiar with developing processes using Decoupled Molding and open/close loop process controls.
•Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally; strong written and oral communication; teamwork skills.
