Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and maintain back-end logic for trial initiation and lifecycle, including expiration, conversion, and extension eligibility rules.
  • •Develop and maintain entitlement and paywall gating logic to ensure users see and can do the right actions for their plan and trial state.
  • •Design and maintain back-end services and data models that track onboarding and activation progress in coordination with client-side guided setup.
  • •Coordinate with the Billing team on API contracts for subscription, plan, and licensing data, flagging any contract changes that could affect correctness.
  • •Create clean, testable services with explicit outcome handling (success/input-error/conflict/unhandled) and maintain safe, backwards-compatible schema and data access changes.

Key Requirements

  • •6-10 years of back-end software engineering experience owning services and event/state-transition logic with minimal guidance.
  • •Strong C#/.NET (ASP.NET Core) experience preferred, or strong Java, Kotlin, Go, or similar statically typed stack with willingness to ramp to .NET.
  • •Experience building correctness-critical state/event handling with explicit success/error/conflict handling and no silent failures.
  • •Strong SQL skills and judgment to make safe, additive, backwards-compatible schema changes.
  • •Comfort integrating with or consuming subscription/trial/entitlement or feature-gating APIs, plus driving work forward in a distributed, asynchronous team.
